September came and went like a rabbit in the hands of a magician. Poof. October is making it’s presence known with it’s multi-colored leaves and cool evening breezes. The best part about this month is that Halloween is coming and the day after I get to purchase chocolate at a discount. (Don’t judge me.) Fall is my favorite season of all.
The beginning of a new season is a great time to set goals and plan for the last quarter of the year. If October is anything like September it will not be around long. Have you set your goals for October?
OCTOBER GOALS
My first goal is to participate in what the blog community calls “Blogtober”. I’m committed to deliver one blog post a day. I’m excited about this but also nervous because in my world October represents the end of a season. By day I am a Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer, and for the next two weeks I’ll be scrambling to meet the October 15th deadline for extended tax returns. It’s safe to say I didn’t really think all this through when I first committed to participating, however I am determined to stay the course. (Have you filed? Here’s a link to free file services with IRS. https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free )
Another goal will be to focus on building and generating traffic to my blog and social media sites, learn about search engine optimization and figure out how google ad words works. Somebody lend me a hammer now.
Finally, I am working on finishing my first book manuscript. My goal is to write a minimum of 500-600 words a night to make this happen. While I don’t plan to overextend myself this month, I will have to schedule every hour of my day to be filled with doing something productive.
Do you feel as if the next three months are going to fly by? Before you know it, Christmas will be here. Yikes! Here’s some motivation to help you along the way.

Wow! I thought I had some hefty goals. You certainly have a full plate but I’m sure you can and will accomplish them all! Stay the course and I’ll be looking for future posts.
Thank you!
Sounds like an intense month coming up!! Good luck :))
