Sometimes when I’m feeling overwhelmed I get in my car and I drive with no destination in mind. I turn the music up real loud as if in doing so I can drown out my own thoughts. Sometimes I scream. Oftentimes I cry. But when I finally point my car towards home, it is with a renewed sense of who I am and what I know I’m capable of accomplishing.
For as long as I’ve been living, I’ve never met a human who can testify that their life has been perfect. Each of us have experienced some type of trial at some point in our lives. Many have fought long and hard and continue to fight to run this race we call life.
Nevertheless, no matter how hard life gets or how challenging things may seem, I know that you can make it. This is the reminder that I give myself as I drive endlessly towards a destination only God knows. And why am I so sure of this? Because I’ve fought a good fight. I’ve conquered battles that were intended to take my life and I won. And even though I may have been wounded in the battle, my limps are not noticeable. My scars have become my beauty marks.
Maybe you’ve hit a roadblock in your life. Perhaps you’re feeling blue about the challenges you may be facing. Whatever your obstacle is, do not lose heart. Because you, my friend, “You Can Make It“.
“As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.” Hebrews 12:1
